Happy birthday to a legend: Kurt Cobain

This is one of the most beautiful tunes I’ve heard in a while. Patrick Watson’s voice and a piano were meant to be.

This is beautiful. The Cinematic Orchestra are brilliant.

This is the best song I’ve heard in a while. Just wait till the hook at 0:57. This song spurs my imagination…get lost in it.

You’d be surprised at how much emotional intensity you could pack into songs with only two people.  Gem Club consists of only a pianist/vocalist and a cellist, yet they are capable of suggesting so much with so little. Everything on Breakers sounds quiet, austere, and chilling. Vocalist Christopher Barnes sings in a quivering whisper that will elicit an eerie feeling from you. Their songs have the capability to make you feel completely alone-in your own little world, but there is something so strangely comforting about the beautiful melodies that you won’t want to stop listening. Gem Club has heavy lyrics, but their music is so hauntingly beautiful that it is definitely worth listening to.

I can’t get over how beautiful this is.

This album has been with me since I was 10 years old. It never gets old.
